1. Software Questions
a) Where did you get the album software from?
I wrote it. When I was planning to get my digital camera I was unable to find any open source software that I really
liked the looks of, so I decided to write my own. I'm still developing it, expect new features when I can next be
arsed.
b) Can I have a copy?
Usually I release all the software that I write under the terms of the GNU General Public License. However this program
was written soley for my own use, so I haven't tarted it up or made it idiot proof yet. As it stands at the moment it
really isn't in a distributable state as far as the administration module goes. If you really want a copy then let me
know. The answer will probably be no, but the more requests I get the more inclined I'll be to tart up and release it.
c) What language is it written in?
The frontend you are seeing now is all written in PHP. The details about the galleries/photos are stored in MySQL. All the
image manipulation is performed when I submit each gallery as opposed to on the fly, to save on cpu usage. The image manipulation
is performed by Perl scripts and ImageMagick.

2. Image Questions
a) Can I have a larger copy of a picture without the copyright info?
That depends who you are. I take the majority of my pictures in 2048x1536, but for bandwidth reasons I shrink the ones shown
on this site to 800x600 and compress them pretty nastily. If you want a better quality picture, then assuming I know you or
you have a good reason feel free to contact me using the details in the contact section.
b) I'm in a picture, remove it!
Hah! What's it worth? ;-) If you've serious objections then of course I will (or maybe fuzz you out if there's other people
in it and you're just a bystander). I always encourage people to see the funny side of things, but I've had people whinge
behind my back before about photos they arn't happy with (including ones they've given me permission to put up!), there's
really no need.
