After Croome Park (planned), it was such a nice afternoon that we decided to deviate from the rest of the journey down the M5 and go across to Glastonbury Tor. I've been twice before including last summer, but Cherry hadn't. After doing our best to find the park and ride carpark I ended up parking exactly where we did last year at the foot of the south side. On one hand it's free, on the other it involves climbing straight up the steepest side. After reaching the top and dying of exhaustion we had a quick survey of the view then descended down the steps to the east and continued on our journey to Lyme. We decided to go cross country as opposed to back to the M5 so instead took a tour of the villages of Somerset and Dorset. It looked like a good route on the map, but took ages! I definately need GPS! | | | | | | | | | | Views: 23 - Comments: 0 | Views: 414 - Comments: 1 | Views: 33 - Comments: 0 | Views: 30 - Comments: 0 |
