Named after the famous womble with a similar face, Orinoco was a 8 week old hedgehog rescued from a ditch and taken into care at Cherry's new house. With warmth, water and food his health seemed to dramatically improve, however the morning following that when these pictures were taken we had to take him to the vets as his health deteriated somewhat. This, combined with advice from the St Tiggywinkle's Wildlife Hospital helpline and the book The Complete Hedgehog suggested keeping him warm and waiting a couple of days, however he unfortunately died in his sleep the following night. Obviously not a happy story, but hopefully more peaceful than dying in a ditch - cold or attacked by magpies. | | | | | | | | | | Views: 17 - Comments: 0 | Views: 30 - Comments: 0 | Views: 19 - Comments: 0 | Views: 11 - Comments: 0 |
