Laser Stars @ Warwick Monday 28th January 2008
Cherry wasn't impressed when I said that I'd spent 90 quid on a laser projector, but she was soon won round. I figured that a nice light would cost that, and as we got our bedroom one 'free' with the house it was only the right thing to do. I was originally going to get a laserpod, but saw this at the last minute. It really does fill the room - the whole ceiling and 2 walls with green 'stars' and a swirly blue nebula thing on the ceiling that can be turned off. I realise now why all the pictures on the internet suck - taking a shot at 10mm (to fit everything in) requires at least f/6 to get focus. As the stars move and you need a shutter speed of 60 maximum then really the only thing you can control is the iso. The picture shown here was at iso 1600 and still doesn't show it in even remotely its proper glory.
