SGI Octane: Who needs women? @ My Old House, Greenstead, Colchester, Essex, UK Thursday 7th November 2002
Some people like to wake up in the morning to find a beautiful women lying next to them. Me too, but in the interim period I have the next best thing (well on the other side of the room that is, it's a bit heavy to share my bed) - I got myself a proper hardcore unix machine for my bedroom. This family of machine is still used today and has been used in the making of Final Fantasy, Hollow Man, Monsters Inc, Perfect Storm, Lord of the Rings, Ice Age and are used extensively by Disney and Pixar. These retailed at 30,000 pounds in 1997, excluding the 20 inch Sony Trinitron monitor with remote control (not shown - my camera's batteries ran out - doh!).
